| Tatami chair #2 is a stool designed to be used either on the regular floor or on the tatami mats. The stool consists of thin single loop structure of wood veneer with fiberglass reinforcement (lacquered red in the images). There are three openings in the structure. One on the top is a sword-shaped slit for the comfort. Two on the both sides are the moon and the sun intended as handles. The reinforcement is employed in order to make the structure thin and to represent the texture of the traditional lacquer wares. |
